BROW LAMINATION:
Prior to your brow lamination appointment, we recommend the following:
“DON’TS” IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER TREATMENT
A brow lamination will last about 6 weeks (again, depending on aftercare). Be sure to follow the “Don’ts” mentioned above in the first 24 hours following your treatment for longevity. In the 48 hours following your treatment, you can apply a hydrating balm or a castor oil to your brows daily. We also recommend brushing your brows in an upright/styled position anytime following a shower (or after getting your brows wet) to help keep their new shape.
- Avoid using exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for one to two weeks before your brow lamination
- Avoid tweezing at least one week prior to your appointment (if you’re interested, we do offer the option to add on a brow wax to your lamination appointment)
- Please come to your appointment without any makeup on your face
“DON’TS” IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER TREATMENT
- Don’t get your eyebrows wet (avoid the shower & bath)
- Don’t go into a sauna
- Don’t use oil based products
- Don’t apply heavy creams, makeup, or makeup remover to your brows
- Don’t sleep directly on your brows (we know, easier said than done for our stomach sleepers)

PERMANENT MAKEUP BROWS:
BEFORE THE TREATMENT:
-You have to be off Accutane or any prescribed acne medications for 1 year. NO Exceptions!
-Do not take Aspirin, Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen or blood thinners, unless medically necessary, 72 hours prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.
-Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks on the day before and of procedure. This will minimize any oozing/bleeding or swelling after the procedure.
-If you are use to getting your brows tinted, do at least 1 week prior to the permanent makeup procedure.
-Do not tan or sun bathe 30 days before and after the procedure.
-If you get your eyebrows waxed, threaded, or tinted, please have this done at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled procedure. It is recommended to wait at least 14 days to have them waxed or threaded & 30 days for tinting after the procedure.
-Do not have any chemical peels, microdermabrasions, mesotherapy, or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 3-4 weeks before procedure.
-Wash your hair before the procedure.
-No anti-aging creams or med
AFTER THE TREATMENT:
Day 1:
Gently blot the area with a damp cotton pad or tissue (to prevent lymph fluid buildup, remove bacteria, dead skin and oils). Do this repeatedly until the oozing has stopped.
Days 2-10:
(TWICE A DAY) Gently wash the area with a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil cleanser). Please wash your brows over the sink and not in the shower. Use your fingertips to gently cleanse and rub the area in a smooth motion, then rinse with water ensuring all the cleanser is gone. Pat dry with a clean tissue then apply a tiny, rice grain amount of ointment (Aquaphor or A&D Ointment) with a cotton swab. If you have oily skin, do not apply any ointment unless the area feels extremely dry.
DO NOT:
-Expect slight swelling and a little redness in the immediate area. Keep the area lightly moist using a Q-Tip with Aquaphor 1 or 2 times a day (morning and night) for 7-10 days.
-If slight crust appears on pigmented surface, do not force removal by picking or scratching!! (You will remove pigment along with crusting) Brows are not considered healed until all crusting has exfoliated on its own.
-Avoid tinting of brows for 3 weeks following the procedure.
-The procedure may have some peeling on or around the 3rd day. This is a normal process of healing for some clients. DO NOT pick… picking can cause scarring and loss of color.
-The application of permanent cosmetics can be a 2 step procedure. Do not judge your procedure while in the healing stage. It may require a touch up.
-Don’t be alarmed if color comes off on to the Q-Tip when applying topical ointment. This is normal.
-Smoking WILL cause the pigment to fade prematurely and anesthetics will not last as long.
-You must wait 1 year after any tattoo to give blood.
-Lasers can cause pigment to turn black. Avoid the procedure site.
-If any signs of infection occur, abnormal swelling, redness or pain associated with the procedure, call you physician (and please give us a call). After you have healed, use a good sunscreen daily to help prevent premature fading of all procedures.
I have read and understood the risks to this procedure. I have read and understood the aftercare protocols after my treatment and promise to follow the aftercare instructions. If I do not follow the aftercare I may ruin the results and the technician has the right to release me from any future services.

DO NOT:
- NO over-applying ointment. Only a tiny amount is needed.
- NO long, hot showers to avoid steam. Keep your face/tattoo area out of the water as best as you can. A thin coat of Aquaphor over the pigment is a good idea before showering.
- NO skin care products, acids or makeup on the tattoo area until it heals. Avoid eyebrow pencils and do not put powder on the brows.
- NO scratching, rubbing, or picking tattoo. Let any scabs naturally fall off.
- NO exercise (excessive sweating), or swimming face-down until tattoo heals. Avoid the gym or sweating for 3-5 days following the procedure.
- NO UV exposure (sun/tanning beds) until tattoo heals. Avoid sun for 7-10 days following the procedure.
- Avoid chlorine pools, saunas and jacuzzis.
- NO facials, botox, chemical/laser treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
- NO exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids, exfoliating treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, aloe, vitamin e, and alpha hydroxy acids directly on the area for a minimum of 30 days as it may cause premature fading.
- No Terry Towels on pigmented areas.
- No Gardening for the first 3-4 days to prevent possible infection. If you are planning a chemical peel, MRI, or other medical procedures inform them that you have had an iron oxide cosmetic tattoo.
- Do not use other ointments, cream with vitamins or antibiotics on eyebrows during the healing process.
- DO NOT USE growth enhancement products such as Latisse, Revitabrow, Grandelash, one month prior and after treatment has fully healed as it may shift your color.
